Our team
Alex Duncan
Financial Advisor and Founder
Alex's passion for investing and studying financial markets spans over 20 years. He started investing at 18 years old, and went on to receive his B.S. in Economics from Portland State University in Oregon. Alex then started his career in the medical device space. During the 15 years in that industry, he found himself spending a lot of time on evenings and weekends learning about financial planning. After his last medical device company went public, Alex decided it was time for him to follow his passion full time. This decision led to the creation of Duncan Wealth Management. Alex enjoys solving complex challenges and tailoring financial plans to the specific needs of his clients to help them achieve their goals.
Alex lives with his wife Laura in the northwest suburbs of Denver. In their free time they love hiking, biking, skiing, traveling, and enjoying the mountains. They are always entertained by their loving animals: a dog named Cami, a horse named Reeba, and two cats named after Alex's favorite ice cream, Ben and Jerry.
He has always had a passion for pursuing big physical challenges, and testing his limits. He has summitted Denali, the highest peak in North America, and Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa, among other mountains. He is almost done summiting all of Colorado's 14ers, and plans to finish them in 2024. He also completed the Leadville 100 MTB race and has run several marathons.
